The roses are still blooming! In fact, there are many flowers that are still enjoying the late sunshine this autumn. It is a nice thing to see this last show of colour before winter sets in.
These blooms can be found in Worth Park. It's a favourite place for us to walk all year round.
I have learned to recognise the scent produced by some of the plants and shrubs. There is one shrub that happens to be flowering now, which has a powerful scent. The flowers are very small white bell-shaped blooms that are easily missed among the large evergreen leaves. However, the scent travels well and can be detected a long way from the bush. Unfortunately, I don't know the name of the shrub. I must find this out and report in a future post.
