Zoo time! : My Actifit Report Card: October 25 2025

in Actifit4 days ago

I visited our local zoo again today together with my wife and one of our grandsons. Tilgate zoo is really a wildlife sanctuary, open to the public and looks after a number of animals. It is not huge but a great place to bring children of all ages.

There are many birds here too, although some have been moved, and there is a large empty and now abandoned area that once housed a pair of ravens.

The Kookaburras are interesting, but they were very quiet today! It's a shame, they have the most recognisable call of any creature.

Well, that was nice! We enjoyed a lunch in the cafe/restaurant, which is very popular indeed, with outside and inside seating. Although, while we were there a rain shower passed by disrupting the people outside for a while. These things happen. 🤷‍♂️

We sure did, and avoided the heavy shower too. 😉

It's a shame, they have the most recognisable call of any creature.

The cage, perhaps, made them quite uncomfortable and depressed. Hence, they lost their usual styles!

You have a valid point of course!
