Today I walked around part of Worth Park Gardens. There is a real contrast in the state of plants here. I think it's partly due to the very mild weather we have been enjoying recently. There are some obviously looking dead and finished. Others are looking as if its spring already!
Like these Camileas.

Already blooming! I know they do bloom early but this is ridiculous. I have seen some other buds on bushes looking like they are about to burst open.

One plant here that hates the cold are these lilys. They are not going to get through the coming cold snap that is due soon! But they always, somehow recover for the summer, producing new growth from the roots.

There are plenty of berries this year, due to the good amount of sun we had last summer. We have an unusual holly bush with yellow berries.

Another hedgerow with an unfamiliar berry crop. Small but equally numerous.

The cold snap begins on Christmas day. I wonder if we will get snow! I hope so as I think I would enjoy it because it has been many years now since I enjoyed a walk out in the countryside when completely white.
