Although we are still in the grips of winter, signs of life are everywhere if you look close enough. New shoots and katkins, even flowers here and there. Like this forsythia.

Today, I went back to Guildford and while there I walked the same route as one month ago. I will be doing this at least every two weeks, to record the coming spring.

Anyone for table tennis? That is an interesting addition to this small park. These lakes are part of a research area next to the general hospital and cancer centre.

It was very quiet here, the silence only broken by an Egyptian goose when it spotted a dog with it's owner walking nearby! A couple of seaguls were splashing around in the middle of the lake.
I am looking forward to the next few weeks when the plants and trees really come to life.
