This plant is an interesting one! I spotted this at one of the local ponds. A very bright yellow flower, almost luminous and has a tropical appearance. There are no leaves yet, but this area has been cleared and cut back quite hard over the winter so maybe all the foliage has disappeared. It should recover though.
There are lots of new shoots and signs of other greenery slowly appearing so it won't be long before this pond is bursting with new life again. One to keep an eye on over the spring and summer months which I will be doing regularly.
