A visit to Guildford castle: My Actifit Report Card: March 24 2026

Guildford is a very old town, dating back to the time of William the Conquerer, when a castle was built here. There is not much left of the outer wall now but the castle keep is still pretty much intact with obvious historical repair.

The gardens look magnificent. They are kept looking their best by local council gardeners.

I would have loved to see this castle in it's heyday, bustling with life and everbody going about their business.
