The baby birds are appearing now. This picture of a lovely family of coots. Just starting out on their life on the Ifield Mill Pond. I spotted a young mallard too trying to catch up with the parent birds which were more interested in finding food. I'm not sure if there were other chicks but I couldn't see any more. I hope they haven't fallen prey to carnivores already! 😦.
Another sight was a group of canada geese. These goslings were newly hatched as well. Looking very small, fluffy and gorgeous! 😆.
We are still waiting for the swans to produce their young. It wont be long as they usually appear about a week after the canada geese hatch.
