The Giants of the forest : My Actifit Report Card: May 26 2026

Here in our home town we have giants of the forest. These are not native to our country, as are a lot of plants, and were introduced to many large manor grounds around the beginning of the 20th century.

The Giant Secoia also known as Wellingtonia is a magnificent sight even though these trees are not fully grown yet. Many have been classified and labelled now as part of the public parks where they stand.

I'm sure this tree has been around for hundreds of years, hopefully it is protected from loggers!!!😇

Oh, definitely no logging around these parks, although there are a lot of pine forests which are stripped out occasionally.

I would love to see a healthy fully grown tree. We have a nice example in Tilgate Park. I think a little larger than this one.
