A picture for the #aroundtheworld challenge
My wife and I were kindly taken to a coastal town called Shoreham-by-Sea today by our daughter for a walk along the coast path and then lunch.
The weather started a lot cooler than yesterday, but later in the afternoon it really warmed up gain and felt quite hot when the clouds broke.

The town is situated around the mouth of the river Adur. This forms a natural harbour andvis quite large. There is also an old wartime fort here. A very unusual looking construction, built very low into the ground for camouflage.

This was my first visit here. I have passed through on the main coast road but never actually stopped. This is more strange when you think it is part of the nearest coastal area to where we live!

We will be back to explore more of the town in the near future.
Tomorrow's adventure is in Brighton. A bus trip and a night away in our nearest seaside town. 😊
