
It is great to see the grassland and meadows left to nature. This one is in Worth Park here in Crawley, England. Much like a lot of the open grassed areas here. The park keepers do cut pathways across for pedestrian access, so it does not pose a problem for walkers.
There is another reason this may be beneficial. With the present heatwave conditions, keeping the grass longer will help keep more moisture in the ground as well. Mind you, the conditions are quite bad right now, and I have even seen small trees wilting in this heat. 😕
