The day began with ladies Bible study on James, chapter one. It was a good study with 11 of us present.
When it was finished, I headed to the post office to get the clinic mail and to turn in the key for our personal post office box we’ve rented for the past 23+ years or so. The price for renting it has just gone up and up, and finally this year, I said-enough! I could purchase a large locking mailbox on Amazon for less than a half of year’s rental! So it is finished! 😁
Once home, I made lunch and then we set out for a hike to check on the pond. Apparently a big crane has been hanging out to have at all the tadpoles that are exposed now. The neighbor who owns the pond told us that bullfrogs are an invasive species and if we see any, to kill them. Well……I can’t do that-someone else will have to. About the most I’ll kill is a spider ( I DON’T like them at all!) and that’s about it. 🙃
So @actifit-lamb and Pepe came along for the hike. @actifit-lamb was mothering Pepe a little bit.
While there, we spotted Pepe’s relative.
We picked a couple apples and meandered here and there. Pepe was hiding in @silvertop’s backpack.
Going back and almost home, these beautiful sunflowers were poking their faces mostly towards the sun. One even had a little visitor.
Once home, both @actifit-lamb and Pepe wanted to see the pumpkins and the cornstalks!
They were tired after the adventure and are both currently napping. 😴
