This morning saw us heading to Lynden to talk to a guy about health insurance. Once that appointment was done, we headed to Starbucks where a barista I’d not seen before, made our coffees. Mine was done first-it was tepid. I’m not one to complain, but tepid coffee won’t do. I let her know before she finished @silvertop’s coffee, so his was hotter. She said she’d remake mine, so I sat the tepid coffee back on the counter. She did remake it and told me I could have the one she first made as well. I wasn’t expecting that, but gladly took it so I could zap it tomorrow. 😎
Once home, I commenced to roasting coffee for a couple of customers. Then we set out for a hike-Jan came with.
As you can see from the first photo-the skies couldn’t be any bluer and there wasn’t a cloud anywhere! There was some wind though, but it just sent all the leaves to dancing in the air and on the ground. As we came to the 90 degree curve in our road, we got hit full force with the first Nor’easter for the year. With all those 80 acres of trees gone, it sets up quite the wind tunnel-a precursor to the winter to come! 🥶
We found lots of Woolly Worms out busy going places everywhere. We moved the ones in danger of getting squished. On the way back at the trailhead, we ran into this little girl.
We thought she was alone but had her baby in tow around the corner.

Tomorrow is ladies Bible study where we will continue the study of the book of James.
