…….and no, not the brand of fruit drinks! 🤭
Ocean Spray is a native plant along the coast from British Columbia on down to Southern California, and on into the western parts of Colorado, Montana and Arizona. It’s mostly recognizable by the cascading sprays of tiny cream or pinkish colored flowers which gives the plant its name.
It’s used a lot in native plant gardens. I remember when we used to visit Plain, Washington quite a bit, that we met this man who told us in the course of the conversation, that his wife was out trying to eradicate it from their property. The only downside I know of the plant, is when all those tiny little white flowers are past their prime-if you brush up against , well the dried flowers are like Velcro to whatever you are wearing! It’s extremely hard to get it off! 🙄
I’m not sure that qualifies it for eradication, lol! It’s beautiful as it begins to bloom and when it’s past its prime, just don’t get near it! 😁
It’s been a somewhat cold day for June here. When we came out of church this morning, we about froze as it was comfy and warm inside but not so much outside!
Later in the afternoon, we went for a hike. I’ve been avoiding hiking as it usually hurts me pretty bad and can take up to almost a week before my hip is somewhat bearable again. We’ll see what the fallout is in a day or two.
While out, I snapped more wildflowers. Enjoy!
Queen Anne’s Lace just before it blooms.
A daisy that reminds me of a Coneflower.
A Butterfly Bush. There are tons of them up where it was logged last summer.
A White Campion
I’ve got some nice views from the top of the logging area towards Canada way, but I’ll save those for another day.
Tomorrow sees me working the church’s fireworks stand in the afternoon. I hear tell this is tons of fun, so we shall see. It is something I’ve been looking forward to.
That’s it for today. Take care and enjoy the rest of your day wherever you are! 🙏🌏🙏

BSB 1Peter 2:1-6
Rid yourselves, therefore, of all malice, deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander. Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good.
As you come to Him, the living stone, rejected by men but chosen and precious in God’s sight, you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
🙏🌹
