Greetings of the day,
Today was completely Sunday. When Sunday comes after a week's hustle and bustle and work fatigue, I feel like getting some peace, but along with peace, needs also stand in their queue. Something similar happened today also. We had left in the morning thinking that we would just do a little shopping and come back soon, but as soon as we stepped inside the shopping store, the whole day passed there.

Since it was Sunday, there was a huge crowd in the store. There were people everywhere, someone had a trolley in his hand, someone had a bag on his shoulder, while someone was busy picking up the things quickly after seeing the offers. Counter numbers, offer boards, discount tags and the words “buy one get one” were visible everywhere. From children to the elderly, everyone was busy fulfilling their list of needs.

The biggest crowd was in the food items and refrigerator section. People were standing in queues in front of milk, curd, butter, ice cream and cold drinks. Someone was asking the price, someone was checking the expiry date, while someone was quickly moving ahead picking up the goods so that the trolley could be filled. Standing in front of the shelf of cold drinks and juices and looking at the offers, I really felt that more stuff was being bought than was necessary, but still I did not agree.

Gradually the trolley became heavier. The list that was made in the beginning was complete long ago, but even after that, thinking “let's take this too” and “it will be useful someday”, more things kept getting added. Looking at the faces of people all around, it was clear that everyone's condition was almost the same - tired but also satisfied with the shopping.

The biggest test began at the billing counter. Long lines, waiting for people standing in front, and the only question in the mind is “How much will the bill be?” When finally the number came and the amount appeared on the screen, my heart definitely sank for a moment. Then I explained to myself that if there is enough stuff for a month, then this much is enough.

While returning home, my legs were aching, my body was tired, but there was a strange peace in my mind. The comfort of having full cupboards and kitchen is different. Today's Sunday passed like this in the rush of shopping, offers and fatigue, but these small moments become memories later. To be honest, if Sunday passes like this, then the beginning of Monday also seems a little easier.
