Good morning guys. Yesterday was amazing. It rained a lot and you know I love when it rains.
At the nursery we had some work to do. We had a lot of customers and I was happy.
Saturdays are good, always good for me at this location because just nearby my nursery there is a place where they have their Saturday market and a lot of people from the surrounding villages come and sell their goods.
People sell their clothes, people sell animals, people sell pets, people sell vegetables and fruits and whatever produce they have from that week they come and sell there.
It's an historical market that happens every Saturday and has been happening for hundreds and hundreds of years.
There is a fort nearby and these people come and put up their stalls in front of the fort.
And I have been told that this tradition of holding Saturday markets goes back to at least three to four hundred years.
And that's amazing!
Two of my workers came yesterday and we had to make packets of vermicompost so that we can sell it at retail.
I sell a lot of vermicompost. People buy a lot of vermicompost because it's good for their plants and I happen to have a vendor who sells me pure healthy vermicompost.
And what I do is we buy vermicompost in bulk and then we make small 1 kg or half kg and 250 grams packets of these vermicompost and people buy whatever they want to buy.
Yesterday we made packets of 250 grams and the workers sat down and then they started to use the ziplock bags that I had bought and started to add all the vermicompost in it and the result was we had a few hundred packets of vermicompost ready for the customers.
Customers love small packets because it's not hard on their wallets.
They can easily buy you know 1 kg or 2 kg or 5 kg and not spend a lot of money on that.
Other nurseries what they do is they have you know 50 kg, 25 kg and 100 kg bags which obviously cost a lot of money.
Vermicompost, pure vermicompost is actually very expensive these days because of rising demand from both agricultural use and from home gardeners as well and that's why a lot of people have got into this vermicompost making business and it's pretty profitable to be honest.
Anyways, that's all for today. It's a small pause today because I have to rush.
I'm going to meet one of my previous clients and collect some pending dues from them.
They have been delaying it and I'm frustrated.
I hate clients who don't pay me on time and so I have to visit a different town and meet them and discuss further business with them.
So, I'll see you tomorrow guys. Have a wonderful day.
Adios.
Good night.
Shabba Khair.
