Reporting in from the depths of parenthood again! Today was a double-walk day, hence the healthy pile of steps. It snowed a lot here and that limited our activities, plus the little one is a little sick. So bundled up stroller strolls are the ticket.
Step fuel: took a first crack at freekeh mujadarra. This is a side dish that a restaurant we enjoy always has, so I wanted to try and recreate it at home. Super simple dish of sautéing some onions with spices, then toss in the grains and simmer.
It turned out a little more pastey than I wanted, just needs less water or more cook time. Taste was on point though!
