HAPPY MID AUTUMN FESTIVAL!
_we had special request of no egg wash this year
This year me and my mom didn't sell much under @craftsofluv branding (my side hustle account), but this year, my mom had a pretty bad right eye infection.
So I needed to really learn how to do it from scratch with her minimal supervision.
This has pretty much caused me to think, that if I need to keep this annual seasonal baking tradition keep going, in the distance future I may have to do this without her supervision on earth.
Which makes me feel awkwardly chilling in my heart.
Though yes, when elderly are around and there'll be friction due to the generational gap, it is still a blessing to have them around.
I have been away from them for 2 decades, and I must remind myself to be thankful that God is giving me a chance to catch up with them while they are still around
Mom's blood pressure and heartbeat has been slower than usual. Maybe it is because finally she is learning to let things go and less constantly in frustration.
But that relaxed state has her readings lower than a naturally healthy elderly, and that isn't the best sign ever.
Teach us to realize the brevity of life, so that we may grow in wisdom.
Psalm 90:12
Such an important reminder in our lives, that our span on earth is limited.
The only focus I need to keep ky parents in check is their single minded focus towards eternity, and there, we'll definitely reunite again, with a feast waiting too.
