Clocked extra hours this week, especially with this special fund raising event organised by the Bible College in Malaysia!

Even though I only took one subject at this college at the moment (with Masters credit), I am still kind of considered as its (remote) student, and with that in mind, supporting its fund raising to help under privileged students to complete their studies for God's calling is a virtue not to be missed!

Moreover, these stalls are all done by students (and family) with their own pocket money (allowances from the college and family support) to produce really good quality food for the patrons to ensure a value for money experience.

Most importantly the elderly of the household loved it with the opportunity to taste their childhood food (which I forgot to take as we were very sweaty and famished)—the famous Ipoh Chee Cheong Fun with red sweet sauce (where you can't find the original taste anywhere else in Peninsular other than Penang Island); that made their day much fruitful after long drives of visitation before impromptu heading for the fund raising bazaar.

Some of us helped placing the chair while we were at it

Other than food, there's of course, entertainment, which is done for the first time, by volunteers all over. This group of Chinese drummers came all the way from Penang Island's university USM (University Sains Malaysia), which comprises different races other than the Chinese ethnic group. You'll be surprise all of them could speak the same dialect—Hokkien—because every person, regardless of ethnicity, usually could converse in their local dialect there.
(When you are in France, you speak French; and when you are in Penang Island, you speak Hokkien... haha)

Every single performer on stage after that has a beautiful story behind, this young man who lost one of his eye's vision and could barely study once came from a broken home; and through this very college they became Community Impactors while sharing God's love through the Good News. We were so blessed to hear amazing stories through them, along with their beautiful voices and talented skills in DJ mixing.

Imagine if you are 63, once a gangster head-honcho, found God in the prison and became one of the most iconic vocalists in the 80s while sharing your testimony.... who wouldn't be curious to listen to your life's journey?
So many were mesmerized by the intense of his peak encounters.
In the end, we couldn't stay too long because it was too exhausted by the elderly.

After supporting the Trio Harmony Musketeers we had decided to call it a day even though the night was still young.
How about you?
Have you ever been to such a fund raising event before on a hot Summer's night?
Until Then
Stay healthy, stay curious and learn new things, and stay happy!
