After a long night of traveling from New Jersey and that exhausting 3-hour wait on the tarmac, I am officially back in London. I thought today would be a lazy recovery day, but the familiar streets of my home city called to me, and I managed to clock in 7,423 steps!
Pushing Through the Fatigue
Coming back from the USA means dealing with a significant time zone shift. I landed in London feeling a bit like a zombie, but I know from experience that the best cure for jet lag is movement and sunlight. Instead of sleeping all day, I forced myself to go for a walk.
Those 7,423 steps weren't as easy as my walks in Old Bridge, but they were much more rewarding. Walking through London again made me appreciate the contrast between the wide American suburbs and the historic, bustling energy of the UK. My activity graph shows a nice steady climb in the afternoon as I was out and about, re-adjusting to the local rhythm.
Tracking the Progress
My Actifit stats are holding up well despite the travel chaos
Total Steps 7,423
AFIT Balance 20,395.499
User Rank 38.35
Voting Power 98.44%
I'm currently at a healthy balance of over 20,800 AFIT. It’s interesting to see how the User Rank stays stable even when I have a low-activity day like yesterday. It shows that the Hive community values long-term consistency over just one single day of high numbers.
Virtual Gear Boost
I’ve made sure to keep my virtual equipment active in the Actifit market. Using my water bottles and sports shoes helps maximize my rewards, which is essential when I'm in this transition phase between continents. I also noticed the "Actifit Android V0.12.3" update notification it's great to see the app constantly improving!
Final Thoughts
Transitioning back to London life will take a few days, but I'm happy with today's progress. Moving from 1,400 steps yesterday to over 7,400 today is a great recovery. Tomorrow, I hope to be back in the 10k club once I get a full night's sleep in my own bed!
Thank you to everyone who supported me during my USA trip. The journey continues here in London!
