It is Thursday, May 21, 2026, and today has been another incredible chapter in my fitness story. Sometimes keeping up a daily habit can feel challenging as the week winds down, but looking at my Actifit dashboard tonight makes every bit of effort worth it. I successfully cleared my daily target by hitting 10,504 steps, which officially marks an incredible 13-day consistency streak! Getting so close to a full two-week streak is giving me an amazing wave of motivation.
To celebrate the gorgeous mid-May weather and lock in today's movement, I decided to head back to one of my absolute favorite spots: Richmond Park. There is something so restorative about this place. No matter how busy your mind is, the moment you step onto those open pathways and look out at the vast green landscape, everything just slows down.
During my walk today, I took a slightly different path than earlier in the week, exploring the quieter edges of the park. The scenery looked wonderfully dramatic with a mix of deep green woodland and open grass fields. I stopped to take a photo of a fascinating, ancient dead tree standing proudly among the lush green canopies under a beautifully moody, cloud-filled sky. These ancient oaks give the park so much character and make you realize how long these natural spaces have been preserved for people to enjoy.
Walking on asphalt paths framed by vibrant ferns and wide-open grass makes the steps fly by. Before I knew it, my phone vibrated to signal that I had hit my 10k goal for the thirteenth day in a row. Looking at the activity log tonight, the consistency is what makes me happiest. It isn't just about doing one massive walk and then resting for days; it is about showing up for myself every single day—whether it's along the riverbanks, at historic palaces, or here in the deep nature of the park.
As we head into the weekend, my main goal is to keep this fire icon burning bright on my profile and hit that 2-week milestone tomorrow. Taking care of my physical and mental health through these daily nature walks has become the best part of my routine.
