Happy Saturday! Today is May 30, 2026, and the weekend is in full swing. After yesterday's amazing adventure in Richmond Park, I decided to keep the outdoor vibes going but switched things up with a refreshing walk along the gorgeous riverfront right here in Kingston upon Thames. Walking by the water has a unique way of making the exercise feel effortless, and today was no exception.
I am thrilled to report that I've locked in another successful day of movement, finishing my Saturday evening with a solid total of 11,192 steps!

Breaking Records 22 Days of Pure Dedication!
Hitting my 10,000 step goal is always satisfying, but the real star of my Actifit dashboard today is the consistency tracker. I have officially extended my consistency streak to 22 days in a row!
Entering the fourth week of an unbroken streak feels incredible. It proves that once you push past the initial hurdle, fitness stops being something you have to force yourself to do and simply becomes part of who you are. The Actifit Web updates are still looking great on the app interface, keeping everything running smoothly while I focus on maintaining this great momentum.
Swans and Beautiful River Views.
The River Thames in Kingston looked absolutely beautiful today. The water was calm, reflecting the bright blue sky and the lush green trees lining the opposite bank. One of the best parts of walking this route is the abundance of wildlife. I came across a wonderful group of swans gliding gracefully near the concrete steps by the edge of the water.
You can see a large gathering of them relaxing on the riverbed, while a few pigeons joined the mix, hoping to catch some crumbs from passersby. Getting up close to these elegant birds was the perfect excuse to pause for a moment, catch my breath, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. There is something incredibly therapeutic about the sound of water and the gentle movement of nature in the heart of the town.
Making the Most of the Weekend.
Weekend steps always hit a bit differently compared to busy weekdays. Without the rush of daily chores, I could truly take my time, extend my route along the towpath, and enjoy the vibrant energy of people out enjoying the riverside. If you are struggling to hit your numbers, heading to a local riverbank or waterfront path is one of the best ways to get those steps climbing without even noticing the distance.
