Happy Sunday! Today is June 14, 2026, and we are closing out the week with maximum positive energy. To finish the weekend on a peaceful note, I headed back down to the familiar banks of the River Thames in Kingston upon Thames. After a lively, wildlife packed adventure at Bushy Park yesterday, returning to the gentle lap of the river currents was exactly what I needed to clear my mind and reset for the working week ahead.
I am very proud to report that my Sunday stroll successfully locked in my goals, finishing the day with a solid 10,664 steps!

Reaching that 10,000 step mark feels great on any individual day, but protecting an unbroken chain of healthy habits is the real victory. As shown in my Actifit app dashboard, today's walk keeps my phenomenal 31 day consistency streak perfectly intact!
Looking at that full line of vibrant green checkmarks running flawlessly from last Monday all the way through to Sunday evening is an incredibly satisfying way to wrap up the week. It serves as a great visual reminder of what can be achieved with just a bit of daily dedication. A Quiet Moment on the Water's Edge.
The scenic highlight of my evening riverside walk was a lovely, tranquil encounter with a local resident taking a rest right by the shoreline.
As captured in my photo, I spotted a beautiful mallard duck peacefully perched on a wooden post just above the rippling blue surface of the river. The deep, iridescent green head of the drake stood out beautifully against the glittering light playing on the water. In the foreground, a pebbled shoreline and a small, wild green plant added a wonderfully natural and grounded texture to the view. Taking a moment to slow down my pace and just watch the gentle movement of the river wildlife turns an ordinary exercise routine into a deeply therapeutic escape.
Ready for the Week Ahead.
Securing over 10,500 steps on a Sunday evening gives me a brilliant sense of balance and focus as we head into a brand new week. Keeping this daily rhythm alive has completely rewritten my approach to well being, proving that showing up for yourself even on a lazy Sunday afternoon is always worth the effort.
