Yesterday started way too early when very loud thunder woke us all up. It sounded like the whole neighborhood was exploding! Even Kaia who's usually not affected by thunder at all seemed a bit worried. And look at Le Chat, so obviously worried...
The storm didn't reduce the heat unfortunately and after the rain stopped it was just as hot, and even more humid. So we used the very same technique again: many shorts breaks in the yard. Just like Kaia often does, Le Chat showed us once again that stagnant dirty water probably tastes better than the fresh clean water you can find in several bowls across the yard and the house.
Later in the day, we were actually getting prepared for our daily walk, but got surprised by more storms. We gave it a try but quickly ran back inside.
So we had to wait until much later, long after the sun was down.
We went to the forest to check if it was flooded.
It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.
Just enough for Kaia to jump in!
We also checked the road construction. After a little progress a few weeks ago, it seems to be going very slowly again.
And that was if for this strange day. It felt more like a peak summer day, with very high temperatures and humidity, and strong thunder storms. Not what we usually get late August, especially after these very nice cooler days last week. Let's see what we get next, because I'm due for a run.
