Hey Actifitters,
Yesterday was the first day this year that we delayed our long walk because of the heat, 85F or 29C at the peak in the afternoon. I know it doesn't sound that hot for some people, but for Michigan still in April, that's really hot, especially when it was freezing just a few days ago. It does worry me for this summer. Luckily, in typical Michigan fashion, we're supposed to drop 40 degrees before the week end, it will be much better. Even though she's been shading hair even more than usual, Kaia still has part of her winter coat. Just like me, she ain't a fan of high temperatures. But we still spent some time with her and Le Chat in the yard and behind the front yard.
But like I said, we waited for our long walk and started just before sunset.
We were greeted by a group of deer just before the forest, and at the entrance.
Less and less water, but this area near the entrance still provides beautiful photo opportunities.
Of course, the rest of our little forest ain't bad either.
Kaia surely seems to agree.
And as often, we finished our walk in the neighborhood under the beautiful final colors in the sky.
In the end, that was my lowest step count in quite a while, I guess I really don't like heat. Or at least, I need to get used to it before real summer heat hits us.
As always, thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow.
