Very sunny day yesterday, but it started a bit late for us. I had planned many things, including yard work. But we started with easy chilling in the yard...
And it was already too late for a long walk to our usual forest, so we just went behind the front yard.
In winter, it's mostly easy to walk there even without trails, but now it's really getting challenging with all the green everywhere.
So Kaia took the lead, 'Just follow me...'
Le Chat followed us pretty deep inside, but you never know what she'll do, explore, climb or just relax.
She's a funny cat. When we leave, she's often like 'Sure, go ahead, I'll finish munching on grass, I'll see you later...'
We quickly walked through the neighborhood, just for a little more distance. I always like the green/blue contrast.
In the evening, we had a show at the Detroit Opera House: the Central Park Five. Pretty cool idea to base an opera on a real story. And interesting too, I heard about the Central Park Five a bit, but I was still a kid and news in the late 80s didn't travel as quick and everywhere as they do now.
And bonus, I can of course enjoy a show that illustrates the racism, cruelty and sheer stupidity of the current US president.
Of course, my final step count wasn't where I wanted it to be, but I had excuses. I'll do better the next day.
