Hey Actifitters,
Temperature dropped like 20 degrees yesterday, so much better! Although I'm pretty sure most people wouldn't agree, I just prefer it cold. Of course, our activities stayed pretty much the same, with a long walk starting behind the front yard.
As usual, Le Chat joined Kaia in her exploration. But for once, she wanted to go on her own solo exploration run.
So we left her there and went to the bigger forest.
Normally that's one of our spots where Kaia climbs on that big tree stump for a photo. But apparently she was too tired from chasing critters.
So we found one easier for her to climb on.
Then she forgot she was tired. I managed to catch part of the sequence. First a deer appeared in the middle of the trail ahead of us. Kaia didn't notice at first.
Then she saw it when it started to flee.
And of course, there she was on its tail! She had no chance to catch it at all, but that never stops her from trying.
Deer weren't the only wildlife we encountered, we also met plenty of squirrels, both in the neighborhood front yards and the forest.
Since we had more time than usual, we stopped by the teepees.
It's crazy that just a few weeks ago all these trees were bare and now everywhere we go in the forest, it looks like a green lush jungle!
We even had a little sun as we were closing on our last loop on the trails.
But I spent a lot of time hunting for mushrooms for maybe a Fungi post someday. Kaia didn't understand: 'Stop wasting time, there's still lots of mud to walk through!'
And that was it for the day's activities. Another day just above 20k steps, I hope I can continue this trend. If the weather stays cool like that, that definitely helps.
As always, thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow.
