Hey Actifitters,
Just like the forecast predicted, yesterday was another hot day. Maybe not as bad as the previous one, but even more humid. Not surprising T-storms were also in the forecast. So anyways, Le Chat's usual attitude summed up the mood pretty well:
And of course, our usual luck: the very second we stepped outside for our daily long walk, it started raining! Luckily it wasn't too heavy, at least not at first. So we only went to the small forest behind the front yard, so we could quickly run back in case the rain got worse.
Weeds are so tall right now that Kaia, who's obviously not a small dog, can hide in there. I can't believe the City sends me letters as soon as the lawn is slightly too high, but they never once took care of this area.
Even worse for Le Chat of course.
There is no official entrance to this forest, but if there was, that would be it. Also not maintained at all.
Le Chat doesn't mind, it's her hunting grounds.
The rain got heavier, so we went back home for a bit, waiting it out. As soon as it stopped, we started again. Forecast said we had less than one hour before the storms arrived. Clouds weren't too menacing yet though.
So we took the risk and continued to the forest. Even though it wasn't late, it felt much darker than usual.
Of course, darkness is never an issue for us, but mosquitoes can be! With this stormy weather, the air was electric, humid, and just heavy. Perfect for mosquitoes! So I quickly coaxed Kaia on the trail out of the forest.
It rained a little bit on our way back, but it stopped before we got home. So we added a little distance in the neighborhood, never far from home but in multiple directions back and forth.
Again, the weather tried to slow us down, but we did okay in the end with over 23k steps. Now we're supposed to drop 20 degrees in less than a day, it should be so much better. It won't last though, summer is here unfortunately. It's a strong word, but it's true: I hate summer!
As always, thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow.
