Hey Actifitters,
Yesterday went down again like many workdays. After the storms overnight, it was a bit rainy in the morning, and grey in the afternoon. We had several breaks in the yard where Le Chat was surprisingly active.
But later in the afternoon, the sun finally showed up a little bit and it was time for our long daily walk.
First Le Chat and Kaia hung out a little bit near the forest behind the front yard of course.
Next, on our way to the forest, blue started to dominate in the sky. But it was still a bit hazy. That was due to the Canadian wildfires, the measurements showed pretty bad air quality the last couple of days. And indeed, you could smell it in the air, and throat was itchy.
Even the Moon appeared a bit veiled in the blue sky.
So instead of walking directly to the forest as usual, we decided to go check the sunset. In the past, with this kind of haze, we sometimes had some very interesting sunset colors. The plan was to check the view near the golf course. Before we got there, we met a few deer. A female on one side of the road and three brothers (reasonable assumptions as they all seemed about the same size) on the other side. Beautiful antlers.
The sunset colors were indeed interesting, but clouds joined the party and spoiled most of the show.
Like I said many times, I still like this view from the golf course entrance.
We then took a detour while heading to the forest. I thought it would get dark before we got there, but the sunset wasn't even over yet.
Even though the temperature was almost 20 degrees lower than the day before, it was so humid that it still felt quite sweaty and sticky. And since we had already walked more than 3 miles to get there, we chose a shorter loop in the forest.
That's still lots of entertainment for Kaia.
One last turn and we were on our way back home.
Well, that was a pretty good walk and we ended up with just about 20k steps. I really hope the temperature stays like that a few more days but I doubt it, summer heat will most likely come back with a vengeance soon. Let's also hope this haze from the wildfire clear up soon.
As always, thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow.
