Hey Actifitters,
Another quite hot day again yesterday, too hot for us. First day of the year we just couldn't take it anymore and fired up the A/C. But of course, we still took many short breaks in the yard. If we keep it short, it's not too bad.
As usual, Le Chat showed us many different looks. She could be a model!
In the meantime, Kaia was all about playing, as usual.
We even went a few times near the small forest behind the front yard. I knew I had a late afternoon meeting, and I wanted to make sure we had at least a couple short walks before nighttime.
While chasing interesting scents (BTW the process looked pretty cool, nose in the air, then nose on the ground, a few more steps, again and again...), Kaia almost got lost in the tall weeds.
Then I had that meeting I mentioned. My two office mates didn't seem very interested...
Finally, after it was over, we could go for a longer walk. Instead of going to the forest directly, we started with a view of the last daylight colors.

A little mushroom hunting at night, it's always fun!
Even at that time, temperature was still around 84F or 29C and super humid, so we kept it short and Kaia gladly led us back home.
In the end, I'm glad I managed to reach the 20k steps mark on a day like that. I guess many short moving breaks add up eventually. If the forecast is right and it gets even hotter, I will have to break out the old mountain bike though, it's way easier than walking or running in this heat.
