Hey Actifitters,
Yesterday was another busy, mostly indoor day, along with some errands in town. When we got enough time for our daily walk, storms were approaching, and I kept receiving notifications about possible very severe weather. So we didn't take the risk to go all the way to the forest. In that case, the small forest behind the front yard is perfect.
However, after that yellowjackets painful encounter a few days ago, I'm still very worried to go to certain areas. Kaia was like 'Come on, follow me...'
But I mostly stayed along the edge, going back and forth, where I knew for sure only mosquitoes could get me!
Le Chat also joined for a minute but apparently got too lazy on the way and just chilled right there. It's good to be the queen!
So, with the thunder noises getting closer and louder, we walked for a while in the neighborhood, so we'd be able to quickly run back home if it started.
We still had blue but dark clouds were clearly starting to win the battle of the sky.
When it was clear it was going to start very soon, we finally walked back home but found again some intruders in our yard. Beautiful big bucks with impressive antlers!
We tried a few detours across the street but they didn't leave, they were very curious about Kaia as often.
Eventually we made it past them, and Kaia was also very curious about them! But I didn't let her chase them. One of them already fled anyways, the second one followed shortly after.
By that time, dark menacing clouds took over the sky and just a few minutes later, it was heavy rain, strong wind and thunder.
That gave me some time to work some more on the house clean up and other boring stuff in the house. Le Chat gave all the moral support she could...
And that was it for the day's activities. That week is not shaping up to be the most interesting but hopefully the week end will be much better. And my trip is coming up in just a few days, yay!!
As always, thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow.
