Hey Actifitters,
The lazy mood was still around yesterday, but we managed to gather enough motivation to start a long walk in the afternoon.
Le Chat joined us behind the front yard. Kaia found her, and really looked like her bodyguard while Le Chat was busy scratching trees.
We then headed to the forest with Kaia. Just before we got there, we met this little deer family. The apparently young mother seemed very scared for the two fawns and they quickly joined a bigger group of deer in the forest. I couldn't get a good photo unfortunately.
Kaia wanted to chase them but for once she wasn't allowed.
With plenty of time, we could walk all the usual trails.
It's the first time I see ghost pipes with so much black on them.
But then again, I found these ones as well. So maybe that's how they look when decaying.
Kaia found new teepees.
And finally led us out of the forest.
When we got back home, Le Chat greeted us from the dog bed with that usual 'you crazy dumb people, you're wasting so much energy...' look.
Around sunset time, we went for another short walk, but just in the neighborhood.
That doesn't mean you can't find deer. Again, this mother with a fawn seemed extremely worried and actually ran in our direction first. We figured out it was because of these two other fawns behind us. Then it almost appeared she 'sacrificed' them to save the one with her. But I hope they reunited after we left.
And a few blocks from home, neighborhood cats. That was funny, the black and white one was so focused on the orange one, nothing could break its concentration.
And that was it for the day. Just like the day before, we had to fight through the laziness, but two walks later, it's another decent step counts. On to the new week now.
As always, thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow.
