Hey Actifitters,
As often on Saturday, nobody wanted to get up yesterday. Even Le Chat who rarely stays inside was like 'Five more minutes...'
Eventually we did start the activities in the yard. It was a nice sunny day, but so hot: 87F or about 31C in October in Michigan, so weird!
In spite of the heat that none of us like, we started our walk behind the front yard.
Kaia was exploring while Le Chat found a much more relaxed activity.
Of course, we headed to the forest next.
This small squirrel was like 'What do you want? Come at me, see what happens...'
It was very lucky Kaia was still on leash, because just a couple minutes later, it would have been very different. Even injured, she can chase them squirrels!
But she was definitely tired and in pain, because she managed to coax us on one of the shorter routes.
I forced her to walk a couple other loops before she could finally lead us on the way out of the forest.
Just before getting out, we saw a lady with a tiny dog that was apparently fearful. So I put the leash back on Kaia, she didn't even complain, she must have been really tired at that point.
Back in the yard, we found Le Chat guarding a tennis ball with her life!
It took some convincing but I finally went for a run. I really wanted to test this painful Achilles tendon, or maybe just ankle. That was a somewhat slow 7km run. As expected, it was painful but the pain subsided a bit after a while. Of course, it came back with a vengeance a few hours later but I iced it and used some miracle gel and we'll see how it goes on Sunday.
One thing for sure, Le Chat barely moved while I was gone!
Depending on the pain, maybe I will go for another run on Sunday, I really only have a few days left for my training before the Detroit half marathon.
As always, thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow.
