Hey Actifitters,
Yesterday started like it often does, with Le Chat stretching and yawning in the yard.
We joined her as often as we could, so we could enjoy the new fall colors slowly coming in. Beautiful especially in the afternoon light.
Kaia and Le Chat played and explored for a while.
Until we finally went to the forest. It was already getting dark. I forget that these days, by 7:30pm, it's already pretty much dark.
Both Kaia and I were limping, that'd be almost funny if it wasn't so painful! But we did walk through the trails.
As often, we caught the last sunset colors.
But it's when I turned around that I noticed another beautiful sight, the full Moon in the clouds. Very low on the horizon but massive!
So we stayed there trying different settings on my phone, and waiting for the clouds to move a bit. I got some interesting photos.
Eventually we went back into the forest and by then it was fully dark.
We added a little distance through the neighborhood as well. Main reason was to check the Moon situation. And I was worried because that brighter area you see in the clouds, it was the Moon. Mostly hidden indeed.
Luckily it cleared up a few hours later, and I could try out the telescope again. With a full Moon so bright, it was actually trickier to snap photos through the lens. But I also got a few very nice ones.
Well, that was a lot of Moon photos! But it was a special one: this October Harvest Moon was the first Supermoon of 2025, and there will now be three Supermoons in a row. It was indeed impressive, it looked really big and bright. We'll wait for the next one now in early November, the Beaver Moon!
As always, thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow.
