Hey Actifitters,
Another beautiful sunny day yesterday, so of course we tried to spend as much time as possible outside. We started with espressos on the deck, that's so much better than inside!
Kaia noticed deer were roaming around just behind the fence, and obviously chased them. When they fled, she started a very thorough perimeter check.
I joined her, not to check on the critters, but to monitor the foliage.
Guess where Le Chat was... Yep, back inside this time. Another tough day for Le Chat...
I had a meeting later in the afternoon, but we managed to find enough time for a quick walk behind the front yard.
For once, we made it into the forest before the sun was gone.
And of course, that means vibrant fall colors!
Kaia was more interested in squirrels, but to each their own!
With the golden light from the descending sun, the colors were even brighter.
Unfortunately we couldn't stay much longer because of that meeting I needed to join. But we did take the time to meet a friend waiting for us in the front yard. Well, not Kaia's friend, for her it's much more of an intruder in her yard and she was really unhappy about it!
After my meeting, we went for another night walk to the bigger forest.
Once again, very eerie with the mist. That's appropriate with Halloween almost here.
I made the mistake to go off-trail for a bit, but it was so dark I got completely turned around. Even with a light, I had no idea which direction to go in order to find the trail. Luckily, I can count on Kaia in these situations. She calmly took the lead and brought us back on the trail. I never taught her anything like that, it's just canine instinct I guess.
And that was it for the day's activities. Barely made it to 20k steps, which is too low for #poprzeczka competition. But I'm hoping to stay a few more days in the October session.
