Hey Actifitters,
Like I mentioned in my previous report, after another sleepless night, we had an early flight to San Diego, California. As soon as we got there, a friend picked us up at the airport and we didn't waste time, heading right away to the ocean. The first landmark we hit was this infamous statue called "Unconditional Surrender' based on the even more iconic photo.

It's very close to the USS Midway aircraft carrier turned museum and the Star of India vessel, which is supposed to be one of the numerous haunted locations in San Diego

Of course, walking along, you can admire many more old ships, or even submarines, and personal boats in the marina.

After a nice lunch in Little Italy, we started a long walking tour through Seaport village, Petco Park, the convention center, downtown and pretty much the entire area.

Our next destination was Coronado. While crossing the impressive bridge, a dense fog suddenly appeared, making the second part of the bridge almost invisible.

But it didn't last, by the time we reached Coronado, the sun was very bright again, at time even blinding.

After following the beach for a while, we obviously couldn't skip the infamous hotel del Coronado.

The inside is beautiful as well. Another location supposedly haunted, especially this staircase. Do I sense a ghost theme in San Diego?

Now, only thing left to do was wait for the sunset. And it quickly arrived.

You know me, I snapped literally dozen of photos!

Although beautiful, the sunset was cut short by clouds.

But maybe it's even better.

Just before it finally disappeared, we could still find its silhouette behind the clouds.

But it was time for one last shot before heading to our next stop.

I mentioned the ghost theme, the idea was to finish the day with a ghost tour in Old Town San Diego.

We didn't experience anything paranormal unfortunately, but the Victorian houses along the tour were beautiful.

And the finish at the Whaley House and the El Campo Santo Cemetery was pretty cool too.

Dinner in a Mexican restaurant in Old Town San Diego was the perfect ending to this very active day. We basically walked all day and I'm not so surprised final step count was above 40k. We have planned some hiking tomorrow, so it should be another active day. I'm really hoping to extend the #poprzeczka October session a few days into November.
As always, thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow.
