Hey Actifitters,
Yesterday started with a problem. We keep the house very cold at night, but getting out of bed, I could feel it was even colder than usual. Indeed, we were down to about 52F or 11C, and the heat wasn't starting. With my very limited HVAC knowledge, I checked what I could and realized I needed professional help. They showed up quickly and found out the exhaust blower was shot. Of course, not in stock and no way to repair the same day. After checking everything, we also figured the whole system wasn't in great shape (it's pretty old, so it makes sense) and in the end I decided to replace the whole furnace. Expensive of course but probably the best option in this situation. But that means no heat till at least Thursday! We like cold, but well that's just too much! I guess we caught a bit of luck in our misfortune, as it was 20 degrees colder two days ago. Now we are just around freezing point, cold but not as bad. Also they brought me a couple of space heaters. That was necessary to stay at my desk for work.

Anyways, after the tire last week, that was another big waste of time, and once again we couldn't go for our daily walk until later. At least the sun was still out.

As always, Kaia couldn't enter the small forest without a jumping session before.

But I really wanted a few sunset shots, so we went further inside.

Once the sun fully disappeared behind the trees, we continued our walk towards the bigger forest.

From the trails, I could see that even after the sunset, beautiful colors lingered in the sky. So we made the short detour to one of our favorite sunset spots.

Worth it!

And after one more loop in the forest, we started on our way back home. It was darker but surprisingly bright for the hour.

And that was it, we went back to our cold house. Two full days before we hopefully get the new furnace installed and everything should get back to normal... In the meantime, it is still a clean sheet in December #poprzeczka competition!
As always, thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow.
