Hey Actifitters,
Let's start with the obvious, the cover photo is AI generated (Copilot). This was the original photo I fed to Copilot.

I don't often use AI generated photos, almost never actually, but I thought it was a good idea to blend our routine activities with the other event of the day: International Day of Slayer! I've been listening to Slayer since my teens years (I won't say exactly when it was, but let's just say it was a long time ago...), and yet I had never heard of this holiday until a few days ago while randomly surfing the web. The idea is pretty simple, just blast out Slayer music as much as you can, as loud as you can, anywhere and everywhere! I couldn't find any local Slay outs, so we just had to do our own, listening to Slayer all day long, even during our routine activities. I am not sure Le Chat is exactly a fan but she didn't complain.

She did show off how flexible she is while grooming herself.

Of course, with the sunny weather, although a bit too warm for us, we tried to spend good time outside, including our daily walk to the small forest behind the front yard.

Seeing all these spotty and brown leaves, I was worried the heat was already burning them, but I just checked, it's the normal life cycle of these plants called Mayapples. They start early spring, then go dormant when the tree canopy gets thicker and apparently will disappear soon until next Spring. Cool!

The rest of the forest is very green and hopefully it will stay this way for a few months.

Kaia and Le Chat reunited when we got out of the forest.

And Le Chat stayed behind for a while, eating grass.

In the meantime, we went for a short loop in the neighborhood. Beautiful sun and reflections!

I kept plenty of time for a run. For the first run in summer heat this year, I wanted to keep it short, just about 5km. And guess what I was listening in my earbuds, of course Slayer! Gotta be careful though, it's though not to run way to fast when South of Heaven or Rain in Blood starts! The run wasn't too bad, since I waited as late as possible, it was 'only' around 83F (28C) but still quite humid. It will take time to get my body used to this weather while running, which is why I wanted to keep it short.
And we finished the day with more Slayer of course, this time live shows on YouTube. By the way, it's a shame none of the main streaming platforms have Slayer videos included with their subscriptions. Anyways, that old show when they finish with Raining Blood song while actual blood (well fake I hope) rain on the stage, so good! Taking part in the International Day of Slayer was fun!
As always, thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow.
