Hey Actifitters,
We had several things to do yesterday and with a late start as usual on weekends, this didn't leave much time for activity. But we tried to keep it as usual with Kaia and Le Chat first exploring together. Funny how it was the opposite from the previous day, with Le Chat following Kaia everywhere. These two always crack us up!
We then headed to the small forest of course.
As soon as we entered, I saw these two big bucks just chilling a little further.
Kaia didn't notice right away, so that gave me time to catch a few close up photos. But finally a third one I hadn't seen before started to worry about us and moved. That's when Kaia saw all of them and as you could expect, chaos ensued!
Kaia came back a few minutes later, not successful in her chase, but clearly not giving up.
They were long gone though and we could finish our loops in the forest without any more chases.
Waiting for us at the edge as often, Le Chat seemed very upset about something when we came back. I think some birds were taunting her and she didn't find it funny at all!
Our final loop in the neighborhood was even shorter than the last few days, because we were already late and Kaia seemed to limp more as well.
We then went for a great BBQ at a friend's place. They have a swimming pool in their subdivision and it was surprisingly empty, especially after 7pm. I tried to refuse the fact summer is here, because I really don't like summer, but that swimming session followed by the first real aperitif/BBQ of the season, that was great! Bonus with the Moon showing up from behind the haze.
And that was it to conclude the day and the weekend. We've been lucky the past couple of weeks or so, with mild temperatures during the day and quite cool ones at night. It helped me trying to pretend there wouldn't be any summer at all, but this week, it all changes, extreme heat warnings are everywhere and we will get the same kind of dangerous heat Europe has been experiencing. Oh well...

PS: between the new Actifit version not counting steps and swimming not adding steps either, my final step count looks quite low. It wasn't that much of a lazy day though.
