Hey Actifitters,
We reached the peak of the current heatwave yesterday, it was bad, with temperatures in the triple digits. So we stayed of course mostly indoors. The good news is that with my desk now downstairs because of the the heat in the upstairs room, I was that much closer from the TV, and I could go back and forth between my computer and the first semi final of the World cup. Well, at least that's how it started, then of course I quickly ended up on the couch just watching the game... It was so beautiful to see Spain give an absolute lesson to this French team. Like I said many times, in spite of some of the best players in the world at almost all positions, I just never like the French team, especially under Deschamps. Good to see them go home (well after the small final), and even better to see this amazing Spanish team continue.
Anyways, just like the day before, after the sun went down a bit, we quickly checked on Le Chat and started our daily walk.

Signs of the sunset were already disappearing.

But Kaia wanted to go in the forest.

So of course, that's where we went.

Who could say no to her!

We met Le Chat in the front yard on the way back. Funny how she conserves her energy in extreme heat, just like she does when it's cold. I guess she's always in that conservation mode...

With that heat (still above 90F at 10pm, around 33C), the motivation wasn't really there, but we added one quick loop in the neighborhood almost in full darkness at the time.

Well, I'll say it one more time, we do not like summer at all, and these extreme heat waves are not helping! But we're doing okay, and we still manage to have some activity with my step count still never dropping below 12k. Let's see when I can resume running, hopefully around the weekend.
As always, thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow.
