I am happy to announce that I have purchased a new SIM card from another network by the name "Airtel". Initially, MTN network has always been my favorite network until the beginning of this year 2026 when I couldn't access any site including blockchain.
I tried my possible best to post articles here, but unfortunately, I couldn't. Although I had excess data bundle, yet, I couldn't access or participate in anything online.
I was thinking that there is an issue with my phone until one day, MTN network sent me an apology message stating.....
> that I should bear with them over the inconveniences they must have caused me for the past few days ago because of system upgrade. But that they're back to system.
It was then that I understood that it has no connection with my phone. It is general issue. At that moment, I started posting both on snaps, and here as well. Yet, network wasn't all that stable. But a bit manageable.
At a Point, it became worst again. This time, I decided to inquire from other people if they too are experiencing same issues. Hmmm, that was when it came to my notice that this MTN network is generally unavailable. Meaning that it is now a general disease lolz 🤣.
People then advised me to switch over to Airtel network because theirs is better. I intended buying it on Tuesday but couldn't because of an unexpected situation that aroused. Therefore, today, the 24th day of January 2026, I boarded tricycle to Airtel mini office located in one of the shops at St Michael's road Aba.
Initially, Sim card is free, but they charged me #1000 which is my country's highest currency and i paid. Ahhh, honestly, no matter what, we must survive. I got an Airtel SIM for myself.
The most annoying is that according to Airtel network providers staffs, they're no longer running promotional activities. But as soon as I reach home, one of their agents came knocking on my gate. I opened and she told me that they're running promotional activity in one of the neighbouring village council hall. And the collection of SIM is totally free.
Could you imagine how honest those staffs are!!
Nevertheless, my happiness is that I can now access blockchain. I have removed one of my MTN SIM and have now replaced it with Airtel SIM.
Definitely, I am back again to blockchain. I have been away for days and weeks. All I am praying is for me to always see money to purchase data because their network tariffs are high. Irrespective of that, I think it is even better since their network 🛜 is more stable and reliable. Also, it will be a basis for me to maintain consistency as never before. Business unusual!!!.
