How to process semovita from cassava.

‎There is hunger in the city!!!

‎Sincerely speaking, there is hunger in the city and it is mostly affecting the ignorant. Why I said so is because most of the things we do purchase from market or local grocery stores are around us but we don't even know how to go about them or how to process them. Therefore, let me teach you all especially you lovers of semovita how to process it at home.

‎Do you know that semo(semovita) is gotten from processed cassava? Ohh, you're not aware right? Now let me show you how I processed cassava to form semovita.

‎First, after harvesting cassava, peel off the coated film or it's skin. Wash, cut into desired shape and pour inside a big bucket or container. Pour enough water to cover the cassava. Assuming you did it today, tomorrow's morning, recheck to see if the water have reduced or if it is no longer covering the whole cassava inside pot. If it is no longer covering all the cassava, add water to it.

‎Allow it to sit for 2 days to ferment. Then, remove from water and spread it under the sun for days. After drying, grind the cassava and then, food is ready.

‎Prepare it same way you do prepare semovita. The smoothness on the hand and palate exceeds that of semovita. Give it a try.

‎As for me, I took mine to where I grounded it today. Below are pictures I took during the processing.

‎So I now have more than enough food at home.
