Usually, I try to clean them out once a year, but I may have forgotten last time and, or been busy at work or travelling around chasing parkruns at new locations.
I thought it would be best if I just got stuck into it straight away. I hate starting and not finishing things, but the lean-to roofing can wait, and I don't want to forget the gutters again.
I have tried everything over the years to keep all the leaves and branches from the big trees out of the pool and gutters. Most things work for a while, some better than others. Aluminium mesh definitely stops all the leaves and branches but gets clogged with dirt and dust. The brush bristles were not too bad either and probably helped reduce my maintenance time. But eventually, it all needs some love and attention.
Now I have a good lightweight battery blower. I am just going to install a few more of these down pipe rain harvest leaf eater and see how I go.
All this yard work and some exercising gave me another decent activity count.
