I bought an industrial jack hammer a few years ago, so I had the option to smash it up and fill it in, maybe even build a granny flat where it is now. But even with all the maintenance and expense, I still like it and use it even if it's only for a few minutes each morning after my run. A saltwater fix in the morning is somewhat addictive.
With the amount I have spent on the pool over the years I probably could have had a beach front place
