Greetings, friends at Actifit. There are only a few days left until the end of the year, and I hope you have achieved your goals in all aspects. For my part, I maintained a goal that I had achieved months ago and was very likely to lose: maintaining my weight. After exercising at a gym for nine months and losing 20 pounds, I thought I would regain some of what I had lost when I stopped training, But that wasn't the case, and I still weigh 61 kilos. It's not my final goal yet, because I should weigh about 58, and I know it may seem like only a few kilos difference, but losing fat is no easy task.
A week ago, I started walking in the mornings. I've been taking my aunt, my brother, and my dog Duke with me, and in the future, God willing, I want to take my mom too. Well, on the second day of walking, I went out with my brother Luis, and he was excited to take Duke along too, so I gave him the leash so he could be the leader.
At first, Duke was unsure, and every so often he would walk and turn to look at me with an expression I can't describe, but it was one of confusion and resignation, ha ha ha. On the way, we met several dogs, and he approached them, sniffed them, and everything was fine. I was screaming with excitement because Duke has never had encounters with other dogs.

Saludos amigos de actifit, ya faltan pocos días para que termine el año y espero que hayan alcanzado sus metas en todos los aspectos, por mi parte mantuve una meta que había logrado hace meses y era muy probable que la perdiera, se trata de mantener el peso, je, je, je después de ejercitarme en un gimnasio por 9 meses y bajar 9 kilos pensé que iba a recuperar un poco de lo perdido al dejar de entrenar, pero no fue mi caso y sigo pesando 61 kilos, todavía no es mi meta final, porque debería pesar unos 58 y sé que pueden parecer pocos kilos de diferencia, pero bajarlos en grasa no es asunto fácil.
Hace una semana comencé a caminar por las mañanas he ido llevando como acompañantes a mi tía, a mi hermano, y a mi perro Duke, en el futuro Dios mediante quiero llevar también a mi mamá. Bueno en el segundo día de caminata salí con mi hermano Luis y él estaba emocionado de también llevar a Duke, así que le entregue el mando del collar para que fuera su líder.
Al principio Duke estaba inseguro y cada cierto tiempo caminaba y volteaba a verme, con una expresión que no sé como describir, era de desconcierto y resignación ja, ja, ja. En el camino nos encontramos varios perros y se acercaban olfateaba y todo bien, yo estaba que gritaba de emoción porque Duke no ha tenido encuentros con otros perros.
When we got to the park, I kept him on a leash while my brother and I jogged or used the machines, because there are children and many people there. I know that all of this is new to Duke—the music, the people moving around, the children running—and it makes him anxious. I want him to get used to it, and today something unexpected happened. A man arrived who also meets up to exercise with his dog, which is a puppy. They are the same size. This dog, like all puppies, is playful, and when he saw Duke, he lunged at him with the intention of running and playing.
Duke was very scared because he was tied up. He felt like the dog was attacking him, so I let him go so they could get to know each other on equal terms, but Duke started to run away and cry desperately while the other dog just wanted to play and jump around. This made Duke even more anxious and he began to get aggressive. Since it didn't look like they were going to get along, I called Duke to leave, but the owner of the other dog decided to tie him up, out of pity for me I guess, so I tied Duke up too so he could see that it was normal and they were in the same condition.
They calmed down for a while, but the dog kept running away and coming back to bother Duke, so in the end we left and the little dog accompanied us for two blocks. Duke never got used to his rough affection, hehehe. Tomorrow I'll take Duke back, and I hope they get along better next time. The good thing is that they didn't fight and that my dog had a close encounter with another being of your species.
Al llegar al parque lo mantuvo atado mientras mi hermano y yo trotamos o usábamos las máquinas, eso debido a que van niños y muchas personas. Sé que todo esto es nuevo para Duke, la música, las personas en movimiento, los niños corriendo y eso lo pone ansioso, yo quiero que se acostumbre y hoy pasó algo inesperado llegó un señor que también se reúne hacer ejercicio con su perro que es un cachorro, son del mismo tamaño, este perro como todo cachorro es juguetón y en lo que vio a Duke, se le lanzó encima con la intención de correr y jugar.
Duke se asustó mucho porque estaba amarrado, sintió que el perro lo estaba atacando, entonces lo solté para que en igual condición se conocieran, pero Duke comenzó a huirle y a llorar desesperado mientras el otro solo quería jugar y brincar, eso hizo que Duke se pusiera más ansioso y comenzara a ponerse agresivo, como no se veía que se integrarán llame a Duke para irnos, pero el dueño del otro perro decidió amarrarlo por pena conmigo supongo y entonces yo también amarre a Duke para que viera que es normal y se vieran en la misma condición.
Se tranquilizaron un rato, el perro se escapaba y volvía a molestar a Duke, así que al final nos fuimos y el perrito nos acompañó por dos cuadras, Duke nunca se acostumbró a sus cariños rústicos je, je, je, Mañana volveré a llevar a Duke espero que en el próximo encuentro se lleven mejor, lo bueno es que no pelearon y que mi perrito tuvo un encuentro cercano con otro ser de tu especie.
