My Actifit Report Card: July 20 2025

Big steps day today for me as I was vacuuming house in the morning tiding it up. Cleaning the kitchen and loading and unloading the dishwasher.

Then, I went to a supermarket and then Costco to load up on food. Now I am at the airport picking up my wife.

They have something going on at SeaTac where they can't unload planes, and her plane is sitting on the ground for an hour and a half already.

I parked at the cell phone waiting lot and am just waiting, and we have an hour drive home, so this is going to be a long night...

She is sending me home, but I am stubborn and want to wait even if it takes all night.

I sat at the airport for a bit myself on Saturday waiting to pick up my niece. Detroit Wayne Airport is nuts, It was just a mass clump of cars waiting in line. Everyone was pretty courteous though, so that made it easy.

Well, I ended up seating in that cell-phone parking lot from 9 PM to around 1 AM, but that is nothing compared to sitting on a plane after a 4.5 hour flight that my wife had to endure...

Ugh, that is horrible. I didn't have to wait that long, thank goodness. As soon as our niece was heading to the baggage claim she texted us so I could pull up and be ready for her.

That is how it normally works for us as well, except my wife travels with carry-on only so she texts me as soon as she get's off the plane, by the time she walks out outside I am right there.

That's actually what my niece did, but they were full and they made her check her carry on at the gate.

This one made the national news, it was a glitch in Alaska Airlines software that grounded all of their planes so the planes could not leave the terminal so arriving planes just had to sit there after landing and they wouldn't unload the planes that landed for over four hours.
