Over twenty thousand steps today as I did a lot of yard work including mowing the lawn and leaf blowing.
Also, these are some of the first pictures from my new phone. The difference in five generations and going to a higher end phone really makes a difference.
I also washed both of our cars today so it was a nice day with sunny weather and no rain and I took a day off from work.
Really feel it, those twenty thousand steps plus moving and doing physical work all day is not something that I am used to.
The traffic was light today and there was no problem catching the ferry to the island. The summer travel season is over.
Takes about an hour to get to the island home via the ferry or about two hours to drive there via Deception Pass.
The new phone let's me do much more wide angle shots than my old one did, so it let's me do very different kind of shots and I did a lot of experimenting with it today.
So much so that between listening to YouTube, talking pictures and navigation I burned down the battery on the new phone to just two percent. Perhaps I should take a look at battery optimization settings...
Just realized that a hash breaking update is coming out on October 16th, so I will be updating my Splinterlands SPS validator node tomorrow.
The update was actually announced two days ago, but I just saw it. Some people already updated their nodes. It will be interesting to see how many people will not update their nodes by October sixteenth...
The October also known as Uptober has started pretty well for crypto and stock market. And that is despite a second day of government shutdown in United States.
Will it last? Or is it going to drop hard if the shutdown is not resolved quickly? Long government shutdown doesn't seem to be good for economy or the markets.
On the way to the island today I saw a sight that is becoming more rare these days in America: tourists taking pictures. There seem to be a lot less tourists these days.
This family was definitely tourists:
I wonder if the drop off in tourists is related to economy or due to the recent focus of our current administration on immigration and border control.
There are less Canadian tourists in Seattle area as well. That could be a fallout from the tariff war with Canada.
Sure interesting times ahead...
