Merry Christmas everyone!
We spent our day at home doing pretty much nothing. In the morning I went shopping for last minute food supplies such as King Salmon and a few other items that we could not buy ahead of time for the Christmas party at our house tomorrow.
The store and parking lot were packed with shoppers. After I came back home we spent the rest of the day together in the company of some of my favorite people: my wife and our daughter.

We have shared meals together and watched a couple good old movies: The Hunt for Red October and Home Alone. This is a very simple, but also a very happy day to spend together with people I love.
Tomorrow our son and extended family is coming over for a Christmas day dinner and present exchange. My brother in law and his fiance are going to come over, my parents in law are coming as well. My father in law I am picking up from a special memory care home.

This beautiful table was set by my wife and daughter while I was shopping this morning. Tomorrow we are cooking on the grill a King Salmon and pork tenderloin in the oven.
I am looking forward to a celebration tomorrow. It has been over forty years since I have believed in Santa Claus as a child, but if I were to ask for a couple wishes for the next year it would be that at least one health issue that my wife has would get resolved and that we repair the relationship with my parents.

They will not be here tomorrow as they are boycotting every holiday season since before Covid and they never recognized my wife and accepted my choice. I wish they stop being so stubborn and just reconcile...
We have tried to reconcile in the past and we may attempt again next year. It really is a loose loose proposition none of us are getting any younger and family is the most important thing in our life.

This Christmas Eve I feel happy after spending a great day with my family. I wish for simple things like health, family union and happiness.
What are you wishing for?
