A nice day on the ocean with our daughter where we spent just about an hour while my wife was on the work calls. Then we did some fort building at our house next to one of the big trees.
She was going to get on top of one of the giant tree branches, but despite me bringing a very nice ladder and offering to hold her, she got scared of the the heights and backed out of that idea.

After that we had a meal all together as a family and then my wife had some more business calls and our daughter had an art lesson. This time she was trying out a new technique where she was pouring some special paint media to create a very unique abstract art effect.
It didn't go as expected and she was really frustrated about it. She was a good trooper and didn't show her art teacher how frustrated she was, but as soon as she was back upstairs with us, she definitely let us know how she felt.

I think that these kinds of experiences are actually good for her as a young artist, it builds character and in a long term it will make her a better artist and more adapted to the real world where not everything goes our way all the time.
Then we went to a few places to eat and do a little bit of shopping. We bought some locally made preserves, a small dish for salt that my wife really wanted to make sure everything matches in our kitchen.

We also stopped by our favorite sandwich shop on the island called The Greenbank Patry. I had Italian, my wife opted for the Classic and our daughter picked her favorite cheese melt that they make really good.
We also drove to Langley and had some cranberry peach crumble pie with coffee. And got a classic apple pie with us. We walked around town, despite it being Monday and cold off season day there were lots of people around and hard to find parking.

We stopped by a glass blowing place and picked up a blue Christmas glass ball tree decoration which was on half off sale. It is a beautiful piece and we are going to put it on our tree before the new year.
We then drove home where my wife made a really nice Bolognese with white wine which we all enjoyed to wrap up our day. It was a really good day. One thing I noticed is that when I look at the ocean it relaxes me, sometimes to the point where I get almost sleepy.

The last days of the 2025 are shaping up really nice for us as a family. It was a good year with lots of things accomplished such as selling one house, getting rid of our last mortgage, buying another property, getting a promotion at work and a very successful year in terms of business for my wife.
We did quite a bit of traveling to New York, San Diego, Northern California and a few other places. But it was also quite challenging year as well. I am hopping for a little less eventful next year.
