As you might have gathered from some of my previous post, the Mrs and Silvertop hike not only for the love of the Mountains, but also to stay healthy……for a long time!😇
Often we drive by Squalicum Creek on shopping trips to town.
The subject always comes up that we need to stop and hike these trails sometime…………..
“Liz, let’s check these trails out today!”🥰
It’s a small lake in town, the trails are flat. Not so long ago this was a very large homeless camp.
Tents and garbage covered the lakeshore!🙄
The homeless people were relocated last Fall, and the shore was cleaned up, and we decided to check out the trails.
I really wasn’t prepared for what I saw next…………..
Look close in the second photo…………
“Honey look out, I hear a bicycle coming fast around the bend!”🙄
As we rounded the bend we were met not with a bicycle, but with a smiling elderly woman hiking the trails with a walker!😮
“Silvertop, she really should not be out here alone!”
She looked to be doing OK, so we continued down the trail……….
I turned around, to see her coming back towards us again………..
That’s when a younger man probably a Grandson, stepped into view!
He was fishing on this beautiful day, and “Grandma”, was exercising walking back-and-forth on the flat trail!👍😊
Kudos to the Grandma, and also to the Grandson!💪
Don’t stop Grandma!🤗
