Silvertop spent the morning with dark sunglasses on, wandering around on top of our very HOT roof!😳
I was trying numerous locations to “Dial in” our new Starlink satellite Internet!😅
Silvertop loves all the trees we have on our property, but when it comes to locking onto satellites, these trees can make things a bit more challenging Lol!😇
They sell their generation three, as a ground mount kit.
Just flip the stand up and you are ready to connect to the internet, after you find that “Clear view of the sky!”😇

Our plan was to try out several locations, and determine “IF” we truly had a chance to make this work, given that we live in the forest!
I asked “Grok” how many satellites Elon Musk had in orbit?
“Silvertop, Starlink has 7,875 satellites in orbit with most of them working! They plan to complete their constellation with a total of 42,000 satellites!😮
These satellites travel at 17,000 miles an hour, at an orbit of 304 miles above the Earth! Each satellite can circle the Earth in just under 90 minutes!”☺️

With the “Dish” just sitting on our roof, propped up to the correct angle with a couple of scrap 2x6’s we were connected!🤗
When we are sure of a final location Silvertop will permanently mount this on an adjustable pole mount similar to DIRECTV! 😇
“Silbertop, I test out our VPN from Frankfurt Germany, to check speeds and latency!”🐸
You can see in PEPE’s photo he was getting 73.47 Mbps download and 3.94 Mbps upload speeds “With” our Frankfurt Germany, VPN!🐸
With the VPN turned off , our speeds increased to 94.94 download, and 15.04 Mbps upload respectively!🤗
With Ziply we were lucky to get 19 to 20 Mbps!🙄
I believe if we end up moving this dish to a much clearer spot over our garage, these speeds will be much higher!💪
For today, we will just chill out in the A/C, maybe pick up some Sat’s, and test out Starlink on our laptops and mobile devices!😊
